Clayton and Victoria met in an unconventional way: at Clayton's firm Christmas party in 2023....where they both had different dates. Several months after the Christmas party and after some due dilligence, Clayton reached out to Victoria via DM on instagram. However, it wasn't Clayton's charming and smooth responses that caught Victoria's attention...it was the fact he figured out how to spell her last name -- to which Victoria responded to his first message "Guess it has taken you awhile to figure out how to spell my last name" and Clayton responded "It wasn't the easiest last name to remember - everything else though was impossible to forget.." After a 7 hour first date that ended with a nightcap at the Red Lion Pub, there have only been 2 weekends they have spent apart (not counting tee times) since that first date. From Clayton converting Victoria to a University of Texas Longhorn Football fan (to which Victoria's father very much approves) and Victoria converting Clayton to a full- blown wino, they have both made each other better versions of themselves. Victoria now throws a solid "hook'em" and joins in all the chants that she learned as a child without missing a beat, and Clayton is now one of those people that swirls their wine around the glass several times before taking a sip. Jokes aside, Clayton and Victoria's love for eachother is clear to everyone they meet. All of the attributes in a future spouse that 13 year old Victoria noted in a letter to her older self, Clayton has...down to being a country singer (Victoria looked up to the sky and thanked God and her angels for that one). Truly, only God could have created this perfect, unconventional love story for Clayton and Victoria. It's a story that every piece had to fall into place how they did for the two of them to meet. They hope their love story inspires others- you just never know when the love of your life will walk into your life..so go to that Christmas party even when you dont want to!
