Clayton and Victoria met in 2023 in an unconventional way, at Clayton's firm Christmas party, which they attended with different dates. A few months later, after some due dilligence, Clayton reached out to Victoria via DM on Instagram. Victoria laughs and likes to joke that it wasn't Clayton's charm and smooth responses that first caught her attention, but rather the fact he figured out how to spell her last name! Victoria responded to his first message with, "guess it has taken you a while to figure out how to spell my last name," to which Clayton responded "it wasn't the easiest last name to remember but everything else was impossible to forget..." Their first date lasting 7 hours, ended with a nightcap at Houston's Red Lion Pub; and since that first date, they've spent only two weekends apart, not including tee-times!

This union has Clayton converting Victoria to a University of Texas Longhorn football fan (of which Victoria's father very much approves) to Victoria converting Clayton to a full-blown "wino." They make each other better versions of themselves. Victoria now throws a solid "hook'em" and joins in the chants she learned as a child (without missing a beat), and Clayton is now one who swirls wine several times around his glass before taking a sip. All jokes aside, Victoria and Clayton's love and devotion for each other is clear to all they meet.

All the attributes in a future spouse that 13 year-old Victoria noted in a letter to her older self, Clayton has, right down to being a country singer! Victoria looks to the sky and thanks God and her angels for that one! Only God could have crafted this love story. A story wherein each piece had to fall perfectly into place for these two loves to meet. They hope their chance meeting, turned love story, encourages others to trust in life's journey because you just never know when the love of your life will walk into your world; so go to that Christmas party when asked, even if you really don't want to!
